Perl UPnP is a pure Perl Universal Plug and Play (UPnP™) ControlPoint and Device
host implementation. UPnP is an architecture
for "pervasive peer-to-peer network connectivity of
intelligent appliances, wireless devices, and PCs of all
form factors."
Why implement the UPnP architecture in Perl? Because
Perl provides the basis for rapid implementation, testing
and deployment of applications. A pure Perl implementation
allows developers to build UPnP-compliant applications
simultaneously for a variety of platforms.
